Line of Men, Promise of God – Genesis 5:1-32

A long list of dead men who lived long ago…what’s the point?

Chapter 5 is one of those chapters we usually skip, after all, just about the whole thing is a genealogy. The Apostle Paul tells us though that:

“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.”

That means that Genesis 5 is given by God for our benefit.  For those who doubt, all we can say is “Come and see.”
